Painting fixed gear frames is free, diffi...

Hello, this is Toshi.

The other day, YOKOHAMA staff member Ishida repainted his beloved CURE, so I wanted to check it out right away.

By the way, this is his CURE before painting.

This was his first fixed gear bike, and he used it to race at full speed in JCMC and CMWC delivery races.
He says he has a lot of attachment to the bike, having tried stripping it himself and customizing it in various ways.

Since I use it to commute to work every day, scratches and dirt are starting to become noticeable.
I've been riding it for many years and I'm not bored of it, but I wanted a change of pace and I want to keep riding it, so I decided to repaint the frame and freshen it up!

If so, what color should it be?
I pulled out various color samples and tried this and that.
It brings back memories of the fun feeling you had when worrying about buying a new car.

After about two months of waiting, here is the finished product.

An exquisite color that resembles a deep blue navy blue!
They have beautifully reproduced the indescribable color of the cleaner bottle in the color sample!
Although he looks grumpy, he is very satisfied.

There are two types of painting methods: a cheaper option where you can choose from a limited number of colors, or a slightly more expensive option where they will mix the color to your liking.
The latter can handle not only solid colors but also special paints such as gradients and candies.
Ishida also painted here.

The Osaka store gave a detailed explanation on YouTube a while ago, so if you're interested, check it out.

When you receive your new frame, you'll want to put it together right away.
So this is the finished assembly.

It's obvious, but it totally changes the impression!
The scratches and dirt are memories, but I can refresh myself like this and get back on my companion.
It's good to use things you like for a long time.

Frame paint can be ordered in a single color for around 30,000 yen (excluding labor costs).
You can literally have a one-of-a-kind original bike, so if you're interested, feel free to contact us!
