MONARCH, the third model in the TYRANT series, is a machine that covers a wide range of uses from street to racing.
Highly responsive yet stable ride, with a powerful yet beautiful design, is the ideal form of the "fixed gear bike" that TYRANT pursues. How you season it is up to you.
Commitment to the frame
MONARCH is made of double-butted 6061 aircraft aluminum that is hydroformed to create a thick tube set without sacrificing weight, and its design that tightly fits the rear wheel makes it a frame that is more suitable for street riding and track racing. In order to pursue the ultimate in lightness, strength, and beauty, all welds are smooth-welded.
Sophisticated looks
MONARCH features a sharp, streamlined shape, and comes in a lineup of chic Matt Black, Matt Polish, and Gross Black, which are not available in the LEADER series. It's out of the question to be fast and uncool. It's the combination of overwhelming looks and speed that makes it a perfect choice for the new generation of fixed gear riders.

伝わりにくいこの”良さ”

TYRANTにしてはスポーティなモデルでちょっと異質なんだけど、昨今のシーンを踏まえてるあたりは流石だなって思います。
生で見ると結構迫力あるんです。
異形チューブをスムースウェルディングで繋いで、気持ち悪いくらい作り込んでる。
そのくせグラフィックワークはシンプルっていうアンバランスさが他にない雰囲気出してますし、実はすごく乗りやすい。
硬すぎず、安定感と操作感のバランスがとても良い。
見た目も乗り心地もいろんな要素が混じったフレームなので、自分好みにアレンジできるし、いろんなシーンで活躍してくれるんじゃないかと思います。 -
自分の知識を覆されたフレーム。
Fuji
創設者であるSALが来日した際に素材の話や設計の話を聞きながらも討論した上で「乗れば分かる」と言われたことがきっかけとなったフレームです。
トップチューブは楕円でもなく、丸でもない異形。
対してダウンチューブは大口径の丸型チューブを採用。
負荷のかかる部分を調べあげ、とにかく漕ぐ人の力を逃さない剛性を追求し、それでいてバテッドを効かすことで重量を抑えられている。
自転車に詳しくなればなるほど頭でっかちになりがちでこのフレームに使われているアルミの品番で優劣を付けがちだったり。
"適材適所"って言葉があるようにその品番の良さを理解するだけでなく、最大限に活かし、形に成したフレームと思います。
品番が全てでなく、設計、製造法では如何様にも成ると身をもって教えてくれたフレームです。
実際持つとこれより軽いフレームはいくらでもあるだろっていった具合の重量感なフレーム。
だけど、乗ると持って軽いフレームより漕ぎ感軽い。
不思議なもんですが、こればっかりは乗らないと知ることができなかった事実。
