Kichijoji Store 4/27 Group Ride Review!

Thank you for your hard work on the group ride the other day!
We are very grateful that not only our regular customers but also those who came for the first time to participate in the Kichijoji store group ride came.
I am always grateful for your help!
It was a pleasant ride that got us sweating just enough, perfect for the pleasant spring weather!

This time, the ride was a group ride with no set destination, and we took detours along the way !
The distance was about 30km, which was longer than usual, but it went by in a flash.
Taking a detour to take a break is also fun, and I think it would be nice to do more rides like this in the future.

Heading south from the Kichijoji store, we first head to Tokyo Racecourse .
There was a race taking place at Tokyo Racecourse at the time, so it was bustling with people!
As if urged by the overwhelming flow of people, the group ride also headed inside...

The first thing that surprised me when I entered was the size of the racecourse! There were many food trucks and shops, and it was like an amusement park.
When you step onto the course, the first thing that catches your eye is the sound of thoroughbreds running, their thuds echoing around , and a huge, excited spectator!
The excitement in the venue reached a fever pitch when the horse ran along the spectator side.
Unfortunately, I don't know anything about horse racing. I'll ask Fujimoto-san, the manager of the Osaka store, to teach me.

Leaving the racecourse, we head to the Tama River Cycling Road .
We took a leisurely ride along the river, enjoying the pleasant breeze and the cheers of little league players.
Yeah, it feels good.
Surrounded by the river and greenery, pedaling without a care in the world will help you forget all about stress.

We ride along the Tama River Cycling Road and then head to Keiokaku Keirin Stadium, a mecca for fixed-gear bikes.
"I knew you'd come if you were here," said one of the participants as we met up at the bicycle racing track where we were eating!
If you can't make it in time for the departure time or if your stopover is closer to home, you're welcome to join us along the way.
There were no races taking place, but cyclists were practicing.
When you see it in front of you, the speed is truly impressive.

Finally, we headed north from Keiokaku Keirin Stadium and stopped at the booth in front of the BROTURES booth at the recent Tokyu event.
To BYRE, a store that sells second-hand clothes and plants, where I bought " Gabiyama " during the event.
The spacious store, converted from a cowshed, is packed with vintage clothing, plants, cute vases, and more!
Participants were also keen to dig through second-hand clothes, look at plants and discover all the attractive merchandise.
Some people were able to get what they were looking for, so I'm sure it was worth the detour.

Along the way, we had a small problem where the FLAT-1's tire burst and got a flat tire .
As expected, even I didn't have 20-inch tires, so we all searched for a nearby bicycle shop and worked together to transport our bikes.
I felt that the trouble had really strengthened the bonds between the participants.
I think that working together and taking detours is one of the best parts of group rides.

LAID BACK BICYCLE, who helped us with our emergency repairs

We are very grateful that so many people came to see the many rare bicycles and fixed gear bikes.
The next group ride is scheduled for May .
We will announce it on our blog and Instagram , so please check it out!

see you.
