If you want to be fast, "this"

When customizing, I think the parts to be customized will vary depending on the purpose.

I'm sure there are many people who have at least once felt like they wanted to go faster while riding a piste.

This blog is a must-see for those who are looking for speed and are worried about customization!

There are parts that can be easily and quickly modified with one customization. .

I have also customized the car body in various ways, but the part that can quickly make it faster is the binding!

There are two main types of bindings.

SPD-SL for road bikes, SPD for mountain bikes.

In the clit race, which is a piste race, many people I'm using SPD-SL.

The biggest advantage of SPD-SL is that it has a strong fixing force and little power loss.

On the other hand, the clip-in is stiff and takes some getting used to. Sometimes you get flustered at stop and go, or sometimes you get anxious because your shoes won't come off...

In addition, the cleats on the back of the shoes that secure the shoes and pedals are made of plastic, so they can be slippery when walking.

It also wears out relatively quickly, making it a bit difficult to use for city riding.

If you think about it only when driving, it is a cleat that applies force to the pedals more efficiently.

Most of my shoes are sporty ones like spikes, but personally, I think it's cool to wear work pants and SPD-SL shoes on your feet!

This style is often seen on messengers overseas as well.

And although SPD for MTB is a little inferior in fixing force and power transmission, it is easier to attach and detach than SPD-SL.

Another benefit is that the cleats are metal, so they have a long lifespan!

What's more, the cleat part is built into the outsole of the shoe, so when you walk, it's almost like sneakers.

Above all, there are shoes that can be mistaken for sneakers at first glance.

By the way, it was torn apart by Toshi who used SPD in a drag race. .

There, I was made to see the cheating power of bindings, so I bought one myself lol.

I think there are some people who want to be able to use bindings quickly, but are worried about riding with something other than special shoes, but there are pedals that can do both in one!

TIME LINK PEDAL

This pedal has a binding and a flat pedal on each side!

With this, you can choose shoes to suit your mood that day, and the hurdles to binding will be lowered, making it easier to take on the challenge.

If you're just starting out with bindings, I recommend this one first.

If you ride around town and often get on and off your bike, SPD is recommended.

The staff at the Yokohama store are SPD fans!

The choice between SPD-SL and SPD will depend on the intended use, so if you are having trouble, please feel free to contact us!
