I can't resist NJS

By the way, this is my first time here. This is Kazemura, a mechanic at the Yokohama store.

I am already entering my 4th year since joining BROTURES.

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm tapping away on an unfamiliar keyboard to write my first blog.

I'm not very good at speaking, so I'm sure there are some areas where my vocabulary and writing skills are too obvious, but please look at them with an open mind.

There may be some of you who have never been to the Yokohama store, so I would like to briefly introduce myself.

It's been about 10 years since I met Piste in high school. I've ridden many different bicycles. I have also been riding BMX for a long time, so if you are interested in that, please feel free to contact me. (If it's BMX, I'll even teach you techniques!)

When I come to the Yokohama store, it's encouraging to hear that the big guy in the pit is the one who saw my blog.

Well, let's leave the self-introduction aside.

Back to the main topic

This time, I will check out the complete NJS frame bike that I was in charge of.

What you brought is STRATOS

Coloring and lame typical of NJS frames. It's beautiful, isn't it? Before I got the parts from the manufacturer, I had a look at every corner of it (lol).

Apparently he got it at a flea market at the velodrome. enviable…

Since this is an NJS frame, we worked with the customer to select basic NJS parts and parts that would be easy to drive on public roads but would not disturb the atmosphere.

First up is the crank. There's nothing to say.

SUGINO SG75 CRANK

I've used it myself, and there's no doubt about it. If you are unsure about cranks, this is the one for you. Accuracy, rigidity, weight, all of which are perfect. I would like you to enjoy this ruggedness and the solid feeling of stepping on it.

Chainring is SUGINO SSG144 45T

The simple look matches this frame. The number of teeth is 45T and the cog is 16T. Since it seems that I mainly drive for action, I chose this gear ratio for the cog. Since he wants to run a truck later on, the cogs are a little smaller.

Although not shown in the photo, the BB is HATTA R9400

Since I was given a good crank, I wanted to get the best out of it, so I chose this BB.

Since it is a cup and cone type, it will definitely require maintenance at some point, but it will definitely run well. If you take good care of it, it won't break easily, and it doesn't require 24/7 maintenance, so I think it's a waste to use cartridges.

Cog is

NOVACORONA TITAN COG

Well, it's light and the accuracy is perfect. Once you pick it up, you'll want it, right?

I also have a perfect chain tensioner installed.

I was a little particular about the wheels.

SHIMANO DURA-ACE TRACK HUB HB-7600

and

ARAYA RC-540

A combination of.

He said he wanted to try using DURA hubs, so I suggested a rim. The options for clincher rims are limited in the first place for 36H.

This rim is quite light! It may not seem like much, but compared to the standard thin rim H PLUS SON TB-14, there is a difference of about 80g. The lighter the rim of the wheel, the easier it is to turn. Is this weight difference quite an advantage? It also has eyelets, so it's incredibly strong.

The rest has a softer impression, for better or worse. I think one way is to use a softer rim as a place to escape the shock while driving, so please refer to it.

And the hub. I am often asked, "What is a hub that spins well?", and I would first introduce this hub. I'm sure there are people who can take a good look at bicycles.

And the white parts that the customer is particular about.

It really stands out against the blue frame, and the saddle plate is perfect too. This saddle seems to be no longer in production, so if you're interested, hurry!

The handle and stem are of course NJS certified.

NITTO B123

NITTO NJ PRO

The fact that it is NJS certified means that the parts can withstand the power of bicycle racers, so I don't think it will break unless it's really hard. This sturdiness is also attractive, so I would be happy if you could use it as a reference when choosing parts.

We will assemble the frames you bring in while carefully consulting each part one by one. We get really excited when we see frames that we rarely see, so we'd like you to bring them with you.

This time too, we were excited and excited.

It doesn't matter if you have a frame lying around at home or are wondering how to assemble it. Please come and have a consultation. We will make suggestions according to your budget and image.
