The new season has arrived and I particip...

Hello, this is Galaxy.

In recent years, fixed-gear criteriums have been gaining popularity worldwide. Overseas, RHC and KING OF TRACK have been attracting attention, but in Japan the sfiDARE CRIT is attracting just as much attention and excitement!
I'm sure there are many people who got excited about CMWC last year as well.

Simply put, a fixed-gear criterium is a race in which riders ride no-brake fixed-gear bikes around a course that is about 500m to 1000m in circumference.
Because the road is rented out, you can experience a sense of speed that you normally can't, and the exhilaration is addictive.

The venue for this event will be located right by the station in Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture!
The competition is divided into several classes, including a flat bar fixed gear class, a women's fixed gear class, and a kids race, so anyone, from children to first-timers, can have fun!

This time I participated in the main men's fixed gear class. The qualifying round was held in three groups of 20 people, totaling 60 people, and the top 10 from each group advanced to the finals. This was my first time participating in the sfiDARE CRIT, so I was pretty nervous at the starting line lol

The ENGINE11 team from Korea also participated this time, and they exuded a powerful aura.
Looking at the participants' frames, the majority of them were using ENGINE11.
My impression is that CRIT-D is popular and trusted in the current criterium market.

I managed to make it through the qualifying rounds and the finals were 20 laps long, compared to the 8 laps in the qualifying rounds, so it was a race that required a lot of physical strength. Of course I participated with Dosnoventa and with the high bottom bracket height, which is one of its characteristics, I wasn't afraid of hitting the pedals, so I think I was the most aggressive in the corners out of all the participants.

After all, what you care about is the result!

20th place!

This is a ranking that has room for improvement lol
When you participate in races, your desire to customize your bike increases, such as trying different handlebars or making the cranks direct, and you also understand the joy of riding!

There will be many booths at the venue selling second-hand parts, frames, and food and drink, so I'm sure you'll have a great time just by coming to the venue!

The next event will be held in Kyoto, so if you're interested, please take this opportunity to join us and let's think about customizations together!
