STAFF BIKE CHECK!! 〜KICK edition〜

I've been traveling by train a lot recently, but I don't have a Suica card.
No, I did have one, but my previous smartphone broke and I had to change my model, and it was too much hassle to transfer my data, so I now live on a ticket.
The time it takes to buy a ticket means making other people wait, and if you're right at the last train, you might not make it in time, so it's best to get your Suica early.
However, there's also a part of me that thinks, "How cool I am to use a ticket in this age of electronic money," which is troubling.
Hello, Yurikamome tickets have a cute seagull pattern on them.
That's all I wanted to say , Kick.
Well, this blog is,

[BROTURES KICHIJOJI STAFF BIKE CHECK!! ~Kick Edition~]

This is my first staff bike check since I started working at BROTURES Kichijoji!
You may see my bike on group rides,
It's rare to have the opportunity to explain the fine details and showcase the attention to detail.
So, this time I'll be introducing the fixed gear bike I'm riding now!

My fixed gear bike is here:

The frame is LEADER® 735TR BLACK/L size .
Actually, this frame was inherited from Macky of the Kichijoji store.
Macky was changing his frame for the first time in a while, so I had the opportunity to ride it.
I was so attached to the frame that I had tears in my eyes when I got off...

I've been riding pursuit frames such as KAGERO until now, so this is actually my first time riding an aluminum horizontal frame.
It goes without saying that the extra-thick down tube and smooth welding look cool and beautiful, but the lightness and acceleration when starting to pedal that the aerodynamic shape creates are truly impressive.
The riding performance is also outstanding, with quick response and stable riding , and I was reminded once again that this is the pinnacle of L EADER®'s flagship fixed gear bike, which has always been committed to fixed gear bikes!

The wheels are H PLUS SON AT-25 x SHIMANO DURA-ACE TRACK HUB

I wanted to ride without any worries, so I chose the H PLUS SON AT-25 rims.
I used to use WIVER POLISH, but I would use it on rainy days when commuting, so it would get dirty afterwards.
It would be nice if I was the type of person who could clean it up whenever it came to it, but the fact that I changed it means that… (laughs)

The AT-25 is a versatile rim that is often used for trick wheels. It doesn't jump or bounce at all with the way I normally ride, but I like the white logo and the high rim height of the AT-25 because they are just right .

The hub is SHIMANO DURA-ACE TRACK HUB with emphasis on rotation.
If you ask me which hub spins the fastest, I would recommend the DURA-ACE hub.
I once stumbled upon a different hub instead of the DURA-ACE hub, but I suddenly felt how heavy it was.
Since then, I have been committed to DURA-ACE .
Maintenance is necessary to maintain the bike's maneuverability, but since we're a bicycle shop, we perform maintenance if the bike feels even a little heavy when riding, so it's always turning.
I would like everyone to try it at least once, whether they can maintain it regularly or not.
You'll definitely get the illusion that there's an engine attached to the body of the car!

The tires are CONTINENTAL front and rear.
FRONT/ CONTINENTAL GRANDPRIX 25C
REAR/ CONTINENTAL GATORSKIN 25C

As an aside, I actually like side skins on tires.
There are few models with side skins in the classic lineup, such as CONTINENTAL's GATORSKIN.
To anyone at CONTINENTAL reading this, I hope they add more side skins... (laughs)

The crank is SHIMANO DURA-ACE FC-7600
The bottom bracket is HATTA BB Set R9400

The cranks are DURA-ACE to match the hubs.
Although it is less strong and rigid than the FC-7710 , which has Shimano's unique Octalink BB structure, I am quite happy with it.
It has the same rigidity as the SG75 crank and will move forward as much as you push hard, so I highly recommend it.
I would also like people who don't normally drive that fast to try this. It makes stop-and-go driving in the city a breeze.

To be honest, I'd like to try Octalink's FC-7710 someday.
We intentionally leave room for growth.
My bike is always incomplete, it's like the Sagrada Familia of the bicycle world (laughs).

The BB is a fully NJS certified cup and cone type . Just like the hub, if there is any abnormality, it can be opened and maintained immediately, so rotation is always at its peak !

The chainring is Digirit TRACK CARBON CHAINRING 49T
Cog is EURO-ASIA SUPERSTAR 17T

The gear ratio is 2.88 , which is pretty standard.
I was skeptical of carbon chainrings at first.
However, I have been using Digirit carbon chainrings for a long time.
It will not crack or make noise.
The manufacturer's 25,000km durability test showed no wear, so it seems likely that the chainring will not be replaced in the future.
It's great in looks and quietness.

The silence while riding is due not only to the chainrings, but also to the highly precise EURO-ASIA cogs.
Because it is coated, it will not rust even if you forget to apply chain oil for a long time.
This cog is perfect for me, as I tend to slack off.
Of course, the chain release is also extremely smooth, so I can confidently say that this is a reliable cog regardless of whether you slack off or not.

The handlebar is RITCHEY WCS EVOCURVE handlebar . The stem is THOMSON X4 STEM.

I had riser bars for a long time, but recently I changed to drop handlebars because I was attracted to their cool look.
When I was making the change, I tried out a variety of drop handlebars, and I found that the flat part is slightly swept forward and the reach is longer than other drop handlebars such as THOMSON , making it easy to hold.
If you'd like to try drop handlebars, I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

I realized later that Mr. Ishida from the Yokohama store also uses the same handle.
There's no doubt that this is the favorite handle of Ishida-kun, the speedster who has achieved great results in CMWC and other competitions!
Just like matching cleats with your favorite soccer player, it might be a good idea to try using the same parts as the staff.
Please do try that out.

Since the 735TR has a compact geometry, I adjusted the stem to be longer.
It's a reliable THOMSON and it's still cool.
The THOMSON clamp is attached upside down on purpose.
Let's just say that it is infused with the spirit of "I'm aiming to overthrow the ruling class."

The saddle is a fabricic scoop

I was stuck in saddle swamp for a long time, but it was fabric that pulled me out of it.
If you're struggling in the swamp, try using fabric. It might help you get out.
They occasionally arrive in the Kichijoji store's USED section, so be sure to grab the opportunity.
I also want to get some fabric stock, so it's first come first served (laughs).

The pedals are MKS ALLWAYS

This is also definitely true, isn't it?
This will be a bit of a spoiler, but all three people at the Kichijoji store used MKS ALLWAYS pedals , so I'll keep it brief so that the next person doesn't have anything to write about in their blog.
It's sturdy, spins well, and looks great.
I don't know anyone who complains about ALLWAYS. If you're not sure what to do, this is the one!

In addition, silver is used for the top cap and column spacer .
I also like the YNOT top tube cover, which hides scratches on the frame and serves as a cushion to sit on when waiting at traffic lights.
I also recently bought a pair of PUMA SUEDE bikes and they are very comfortable to wear, so I used a suede-like bar tape .
The Kichijoji store exclusive stickers are also a nice touch.

My fixed gear bike looks like this:
Looking at it again, I think it's a good, easy-to-ride fixed-gear bike.
There are some parts that I've customized with careful consideration to performance and riding posture, but I also tweak things like the bar tape based on my mood at the time or what trends I'm into.
I think that's a good idea for a fixed gear bike. Please feel free to use this as a reference!

As I mentioned earlier, my fixed gear bike is still a work in progress .
There are still many parts I want to tinker with, such as the crank and wheels, so I'll show you my progress again when I have the chance!

Next, we will hand over the baton to the main breadwinner of the Kichijoji store. Look forward to it!

see you.
