Bike Lore Report - Let's expand on Toraku...

This is Tatsu from Assalam, Harajuku store!

I went to Mochiron's Tsuchiura Lakeside Bike Roar held on March 16th and 17th. I also entered Torakuro and ran well, so I thought I'd write an infiltration report about it this time!

There were various booths at Bike Lore this time. Parts manufacturers, apparel, and kitchen cars were all in attendance, making it feel like a fair. Personally, I wanted to go to a place where you can drink sake, but I decided against it because I thought I wouldn't be able to drive straight if I drank before the race (drink-driving in the first place).

At Akigase Forest Bike Roar 13 held at the end of last year ( see here ), I was also participating in a team rally, so I wasn't able to take my time, but this time I was able to take my time since only Torakuro had entered. I wonder.

When it comes to Tracro, it's a Le Mans style start. The starting method is to leave out their own piste bikes and have the players dash towards them and pick up their bikes. It gets very crowded every time, and the members of the Rough Road Fixing Club, which is the organizer of Traklo, mess up the placement of the bicycles with pranks, which makes things even more confusing lol.

Race start! As you can see from this photo, I was at the front on the right, and I was aware that I was slow, but this time I succeeded in START:DASH!!. However, it took me a little while to find my bike after this, so I started from the middle section this time. I think there is a slight improvement in the positioning at the start of the race, which I mentioned in my review of the previous race. . .

By the way, Mr. Satake, the director of BROTURES, also entered this time. It seems that he entered the Tsuchiura Lakeside Bike Roar Tracross race last year as well, but it seemed like he had a tough time in the rain and mud, so he did it this time for revenge!

We were blessed with good weather and the road conditions were perfect! I was able to spend a fair amount of time on the test run beforehand, so I pushed along the line I had prepared, thinking, ``I'm sure I'll be fine down this road.'' I reaffirmed that test runs are important after all. I'm still not used to track racing, so it's really important to trace the lines of faster riders and understand the gaps in the road surface.
Another thing I mentioned in my previous review was ``overtake as soon as you see an opportunity.'' Unlike Akigase, the course is relatively wide, so I think I was able to push quite a bit. However, several times I was overtaken by a driver who was lapped behind me as a blind spot, and I felt like I was at the mercy of whether to pass from the right or left. Speed of judgment is also important.

This time's result was 8th place . I retired from Slow Burnin' ( click here for the blog), which was my first time riding tracross, due to a fall. I also crashed on my second Akigase Bike Roar (although I finished the race...). This was my third time participating in the Torakuro race, and I was able to finish without any crashes. The results are not satisfactory though lol. I think I simply didn't have enough physical strength this time. I guess that means I have to work hard every day, like when my legs get worn down in competitive situations and I don't have the stamina to catch up after being passed. As you can see by looking at this perfect smile, Mr. Satake also completed the race well. Anyway, as long as it's fun, okay, okay!
This time's title is - Let's spread the word about Tracklocross's "WA" - and since the Tracklocross World Championship (commonly known as TXWC) will be held in California this year for the first time in 2019, we would like to further excite the Tracklocross community. I want to! It seems that the members of the Akuji Fixed Club are gathering Japanese people to participate in this tournament, so let's all support them. Of course, I can't take my eyes off Slow Burnin' 2024 Mexico (maybe I'll go to Mexico lol).
Is the next race the Hakushu no Mori Bike Roar? If you see me at the race venue, please say hello!
