STAFF "BAG CHECK" ~Manager Edition~

Something I realized as I grew up: it's easiest to play a character that younger people can look down on.

My SNS manager told me to hurry up and write a blog , so today's BAG CHECK is about me, the store manager. It's embarrassing, even though I'm 37. Lol

First, let me introduce my bag. Maybe it's because I'm from the Showa era. Maybe it's because I'm surprisingly anxious. I always either have too much luggage or I don't have anything. I might do something, I might need something. I'm the type of person who has left my left brain somewhere, so I'm the type of person who prepares excessively carefully.

Here's what I love to use.

CHROME INDUSTRIES FORT NIGHT 2.0.

What I particularly like about this bag is the volume, which is up to 33 liters. It's not the largest capacity in the lineup, but I like the fact that it's just the right size. I love traveling, both domestically and internationally, so if I'm staying for about a week, I can just use this bag. What I particularly like is that the top cover is a flap. Depending on how you pack and tie your luggage, you can carry more than 33 liters, and if you use it in the right way, you can even tie it to a skateboard or the sissy bar of a motorcycle.

Another highlight is the collaboration with legendary skater John Cardiel . He is the fixed gear rider who has had the biggest influence on me, so the Cardiel part in macaframa is the video that I'm most attached to.

I've written about this part many times in the BROTURES blog, but I want riders of all generations to know about it. After an accident, he became disabled and had to give up on skating, but he made a comeback on a fixed gear bike. This backpack is filled with ideas that reflect his indomitable spirit and Cardiel's simple and creative travel style. Yes, this item is the perfect backpack that fits 100% with my lifestyle .

Of course, the reason I found out about CHROME is because it is loved in the cycling scene, but I also like the consideration for the user that can be felt in each gimmick, the fact that it won't break even if you use it hard, and the fact that it is made in America. I'm sure I'll use it for the rest of my life.

Now, let me show you what's inside the bag. This is what it looks like when you take it all out and spread it out.

There are many styles, both things that you actually use and things that you don't. Here are five essential items that you can't live without.

1. Mechanics Gloves

The brand was inspired by the idea of gloves for mechanics to wear in the pits during car races. Of course, I use them when I service cars, motorcycles, and fixed gear, but I also wear them almost every time I ride. I often see people riding with bare hands, and when I ride wearing gloves, I feel that my handling improves and I can grip the bike without using unnecessary force, which reduces fatigue, and I feel that my driving skills improve with just these gloves. I would like people who ride fixed gear bikes to wear them, except in the middle of summer. I love this brand so much that I always buy limited edition colors and collaboration items as souvenirs when I travel abroad.

② Coach jacket

I feel like this is a must-have item that I carry around all year round. Coach jackets are an item that everyone wears, so you can instantly tell what a person's tastes are. I usually wear brands from my friends, but this sixhelmets coach is my favorite No.1. It's printed on a vintage body, but the pockets have flaps so you won't drop things, and the good old American boxy silhouette makes it very easy to wear. It was vintage so it was a bit crumpled from the start, but I'm proud of how well it's grown with the rubbing of the print, the soft texture, and the oil stains. It's an important item that always lifts my spirits.

③Bandana

I wrap it around my head in the summer, slip it into the back pocket of my Dickies when I'm dressed up a little, and wrap it around my feet when I'm riding a fixed gear bike. Bandanas can be used in a variety of ways, so they're a must-have item to carry around with you. The ones I brought this time are relatively new, but you can feel the various designs and textures from the 70s, 80s, and 90s, so I end up collecting them. I feel like there are a lot more kids wearing bandanas here in Harajuku now with the Y2K trend. A street etiquette item. Essential for grooming on a fixed gear bike.

④Flip flops and chair

Taking a breather is important to live a long and tough life. In this suffocating information society, the quality of your off-time is extremely important. Items that are indispensable at such times are a chair and flip-flops that allow you to slack off comfortably. Free yourself from everything and not hear the voices of your subordinates. Shut out all the noise around you. You can only hear things that are convenient for you. Even times like that are necessary. These two things that are indispensable when pampering yourself, I always take them with me when traveling. I'm 37 years old and I'll continue to fight hard against the Reiwa era!

⑤Tools

I carry these tools for both practical use and collection. The tools I always keep in my bag are practical, but recently I've become interested in vintage Snap-ons, which is a bad trend. No matter how much money I have, it's never enough. First of all, I keep the bare minimum of tools I need to fix my fixed gear or bike in my bag. I like Ameluca products, but I often use tools from Germany's Knipex and Japan's World Import Tools (WIP).

In particular, this WIP ratchet is compact and has a design that makes you want to touch it forever, so I always carry it with me. It is an import tool shop in Tsuzuki Ward, so please go and check it out.

Yes! I've written a lot, but this is the manager's bag introduction. Before my blog, my young people wrote about it, and it's a project that really shows their individuality.

Next time, will it be Ogo-chan? Yuma? Everyone, please look forward to it!
