After moving from the Harajuku store to the Yokohama store, I began to realize what great things about the city of Yokohama are.
Looking around the store, you can see Yokohama Stadium , the home of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, Yokohama's Chinatown , and the Red Brick Warehouse , where the JCMC and more recently Green Room have been held.
There are so many great places around the BROTURES Yokohama store that you could spend the whole day there and not be able to fully enjoy everything. I think this store is a great place for fixed gear bike riders, as you can enjoy sightseeing while you're visiting the store!

Even though I knew about it in words, I had never actually ridden a fixed gear bike, so I went right away! This time, my partner was the 721TR, an entry-level model from LEADER that is ridden by many people.
This car looks cool as it is, but since I was going to a conspicuous place, I customized it to attract attention!

I grew up in the countryside, in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture.
Of course I had aspirations to go to the city, but to be honest, I grew up in a landlocked prefecture, so I ended up yearning for a beautiful place with a view of the ocean rather than the cityscape.

I'm so jealous of the people who live near our Yokohama store, who get to ride their own special bike along such a beautiful stretch of sea!

I have a particular obsession with anything I get my hands on, and it has to be really cool.
It's important to customize a fixed-gear bike with the aim of improving its specs and making it easier to ride, but I also think it's really important to just add something cool to it.

This bike was customized with the image of riding along the West Coast of America, where LEADER was born, so we gathered as many American parts as possible!
I paid particular attention to the length of the stem.
If it's too short it doesn't look good, and if it's too long it's hard to ride.
I'm 175cm tall, and when I ride an L size 721TR, a length of about 100mm is just right for me, and it looks extremely cool.
When customizing your riser bars, it's a good idea to imagine customizing the stem length as well!

Toe clips are attached to add a little style to your feet.
If you feel like adding a city riding feel, we recommend toe clips.
They are surprisingly easy to skid on and fit your feet well, so if you haven't tried them yet, you should definitely give them a try!

As the saying goes, "act on impulse" so this time I decided to make a quick trip to the Red Brick Warehouse!
Until now, I'd been riding around the concrete jungle that is Harajuku, but riding along the seaside was a nice change of pace and I felt like I'd found a different way to enjoy fixed-gear bikes.
